Project Hope Bear

This bear is one of the thousands originally sent to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania from Oklahoma City as part of Project Hope Bear. Bears were collected from the public at Oklahoma City Fire Stations and tied with a special Oklahoma Hope Bear tag. Volunteers then boxed them up and shipped them by semi-trucks to be delivered to those affected by the terrorists.
