Learn how careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) were critical in the rescue, recovery, investigation, justice and healing in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing.
Students will engage with experts in structural engineering, forensics, environmental science and disaster response, interact with touch-screen tables, and participate in hands-on activities using critical thinking skills to solve problems. Building structures that can withstand natural and man-made disasters, analyzing and processing a crime scene with UCO Forensic Science Institute specialists, designing a Memorial using native plants and trees, learning about the justice system, and demonstrations of bomb and rescue dogs at work are just some of the activities presented throughout the week.
Campers will also learn leadership skills and strategies that will help them engage in Better Conversations with others. Join us for an enriching and memorable week!
