Due to amount of rain over the past several days and the weather forecast, we have made the decision to move the 21st Annual Remembrance Ceremony into First Church at 5th & Robinson. You will then be able walk across the street to the grounds following the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. following our normal security sweep. Parking is available in various lots downtown including the lot at 5th & Robinson or street parking is also available.
Every effort is always made to keep the Memorial ceremony on the grounds, but with the weather we find it a necessity to move inside this year. I hope you understand and know that we have done this with the best judgement and weather information available at this time. The set-up for the annual event takes several hours, so we had to make the decision this morning to be able to pull it all together.
The forecast shows more rain later today and a cool and drizzly morning tomorrow on grounds that have already had more than three inches of rain over the past three days, so we felt it was best to go inside with no wind or rain.
