Garvin County

Journey of Hope Phase II stopped in Garvin County, where Lindsay High School students took part in a day of discussion and reflection. Representative Cindy Roe read the Memorial’s Mission Statement and joined students in Better Conversations, with discussions focused on using social media for good, bringing their school community together and practicing patience as listeners. It was also a meaningful full-circle moment, as Brandy McDonnell, a writer for The Oklahoman who attended Lindsay High School at the time of the bombing, returned to cover the program while her own child is now a student at the school.
