The Journey of Hope stopped in Garfield County on Friday, where 130 Enid students spent the day learning and engaging in Better Conversations. Gary Fuxa, a First Responder with the Enid Police Department, read the Memorial’s Mission Statement to begin the day. Students shared that the experience pushed them to connect with people they might not normally talk to and to think more deeply about the role history plays in their lives. They expressed an interest in carrying forward the sense of care and generosity shown in the days after the bombing, known as the Oklahoma Standard.
