Not all letters and notes come on paper. The varying styles of arts and crafts left on the Fence remind us of the different personalities, ages and backgrounds of those who visit the Memorial as well as those we lost in the bombing. This woodcutting contains a short poem, one that reflects on the ways that violence robs us of the ability to say goodbye to those we love. This is a profound reminder, particularly during such a turbulent political climate, to love and respect one another.
