When seeing the Fence, people feel the need to leave something there in remembrance. Whether this be the shirt off their back or a bracelet, the profound meaning of those spur-of-the-moment gifts might not be realized until later.

This USPS lapel pin champions the cause of organ and tissue donation. While it might have been left on a whim, it reminds us of the flood of volunteers to donate blood after the bombing and the ties that continue to bind us together. This is especially true when remembering Rebecca Needham Anderson, a nurse who passed away three days after helping rescue survivors. Rebecca Needham Anderson donated her organs after death, showing the continual impact of the OKC bombing.
