This is a piece of shredded tire fragment from the bomb truck collected by the FBI’s Evidence Response Team. It was used to help prove that a bomb caused the explosion. Initially, it was believed that the explosion was a natural gas leak. However, with pieces like this that were warped and shredded, along with ammonium nitrate testing, investigators quickly realized that a bomb caused the explosion.
