This morning marked the 20th anniversary of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. Under clear skies at a Remembrance Ceremony on the grounds of the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial, nearly 4,000 people gathered to honor the 168 victims of the attack, along with their families, survivors and those changed forever. President Bill Clinton, who came to Oklahoma City shortly after the bombing, returned to deliver keynote remarks at the Ceremony, joined by Governor Mary Fallin, Mayor Mick Cornett, former Governor Frank Keating, former Mayor Ron Norick and Board of Trustees Chairman Susan Winchester, whose sister was killed in the attack. U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey also traveled from Washington, D.C. to speak at the event, which featured performances by singer and songwriter Michael W. Smith.
