How are we able to get an inter-generational definition of democracy that is relevant and practical and NOT academic? How does democracy live daily in individual lives not just in the halls of government?

Join us for lunchtime Better Conversations on Oklahoma Primary Day at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum! Hosts Mike Turpen and Burns Hargis – past Memorial Chairmen, two great Oklahomans, historians and civic leaders – will be joined by Congresswoman Stephanie Bice and Memorial Teen Board members as we invite all generations to come and weigh-in on what democracy means to each of us.

Civic Season is a new summer tradition taking place across the nation from Juneteenth to July 4th for individuals of all generations to explore what you stand for, connect with others and shape the future of our country. The Memorial and Museum created three weeks of mission-focused Better Conversations looking at issues facing our country and what we can do about it! It causes us all to look at our own responsibility this Civic Season.

This is the first of a three-part Better Conversations series for #CivicSeason. Look for our next topics on June 25 and July 2.

Participation is Free. Lunch is on us. Pre-register to guarantee a spot!

Better Conversations is supported by the Kirkpatrick Foundation

#CivicSeason is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
