Some Fence items are left not for specific victims, but rather reflect the feelings people share around tragedies and other elements in the public sphere.

This button highlights one of these items. Although small, the message is simple, and one that is often a common refrain during times of military conflict: “No War.” Collected from the Fence in 2008, this button was left in opposition to war and violence. It not only invites us to critically engage with thoughts surrounding violence, but to reflect on the ideology that prompted events like the bombing to come to fruition.
