It is important to learn history so that it will not be repeated. This message extends to even our early-age classrooms, as evidenced by Fence items left by elementary schools. After learning about the effects of violence, elementary schoolers from Owasso, Oklahoma, let their voices be heard with these Fence drawings. Children have been an integral piece of how we have understood and responded to the Oklahoma City bombing. These drawings remind us that children not only provide comfort and hope, but that they are also a source of wisdom.
