The 2013 Reflections of Hope recipient continues to inspire. Malala Yousafzai, the youngest recipient ever of the award, turns 19 today. Malala became known after being shot in the head by a member of the Taliban while sitting on a school bus. She survived and has dedicated her life to, “ensuring every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, quality education.”
