- Hear Susan Winchester share her story of hope. Susan’s sister, Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Clark was killed in the Oklahoma City bombing. In 1998, Winchester was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives where she was instrumental in passing legislation to ensure the story of the bombing became part of Oklahoma’s high school curriculum. She has also served as Chairman of the Memorial Board of Trustees.

- Karla Vermeulen, PhD | Deputy Director of the Institute for Disaster Mental Health and Associate Professor of Psychology at SUNY New Paltz
Dr. Vermeulen teaches courses in disaster mental health, grief counseling, and developmental psychology. Her most recent book, Generation Disaster: Coming of Age Post-9/11, covers her research on the multiple stressors that shaped the developmental environment for today’s emerging adults in their youth and as they take on adult responsibilities in an unprecedentedly complex world. - Desiree Hill, PhD | Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at the University of Central Oklahoma
Dr. Hill teaches courses in media management, news writing, and broadcast journalism. Following her dissertation entitled, “Timeline of trauma: A case study of newsroom management during and after the Oklahoma City bombing,” Dr. Hill has continued her work on preparing journalists for their work covering traumatic events. - Blayne Arthur | Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture and Oklahoma City bombing family member
Secretary Arthur is the daughter of Dr. Margaret L. “Peggy” Clark, who was killed in the Oklahoma City bombing while serving with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. A teenager at the time, Blayne rose to leadership roles as Deputy Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and Executive Director of the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation before being appointed in 2019 as Secretary of Agriculture.
