During your visit to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, you may notice ongoing construction related to FOREWORD, an exciting new addition that will enhance future visitor experiences. While this work is underway, the Memorial and Museum remain fully open, and you will still be able to engage with every exhibit, gallery, and reflective space that makes this site so meaningful. Our team is committed to ensuring a smooth and respectful experience throughout your visit, and we appreciate your patience as we build for the future, while honoring the past.
We are currently working on…
- Prepping and finish painting the west side of the Memorial Museum
- Replacing sealant joins on west windows
- Testing and inspecting fire and domestic water lines
- Utilities switched over
- Finalize site demo
- Paver mockup of new entrance sidewalks

FOREWORD introduces new and expanded programming spaces in an engaging architectural work. Designed to be purposefully inviting and visible, the architecture embraces the site and signals to the community that a new experience awaits. Contemporary security procedures seamlessly greet visitors arriving from an adapted outdoor landscape, pathway system and Children’s Area through two new sets of entry doors.
