She was an avid reader of mysteries, suspense novels and drama.

For twenty-one years, Trish Nix worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, but the last three, she and husband Steve (they grew up together in Comanche) also started an antique business they called “Back in Time.” Steve specialized in pocket watches; Trish in furniture. She was member of Edmond’s MetroChuch since 1980. Her funeral drew more than a thousand people, which didn’t surprise longtime friend and coworker Ruth Heald. She remembers Trish as “a terrific friend” who was “a sweetheart to everybody.”
