Never Forget the Victims – Especially Those Who Are Still Living

During the trials, a facility called “Safe Haven” was set up in both Oklahoma City and Denver, giving family members and survivors a safe place to receive hospitality and counseling services.

Another similar effort was called “A Place of Comfort, Hospitality and Respite.” Located outside the Federal Aviation Administration Auditorium in Oklahoma City, this safe haven was filled with Project Heartland counselors, clergy, mental health professionals and other volunteer staff each day the trial was in session, providing refreshments and most importantly, a friendly, listening ear.
