The Journey of Hope is coming to Garvin County! Pauls Valley High School students will hear from Doris Jones, who lost her daughter, Carrie Ann Lenz, and her unborn son, Michael James Lenz III, in the Oklahoma City bombing. Doris Jones helped create the Memorial & Museum and served as a Memorial Board Trustee. She will tell the students about how she experienced April 19th and the following weeks. Her talk will focus on the theme “A Day of Darkness – Years of Light.” Legislators representing Garvin County have been invited to this event and we will be honoring first responders with the Elmore City Fire Department and the Pauls Valley Fire Department who responded on April 19, 1995.
