This spring break, hear from Polly Nichols, who was in the Journal Record Building on the day of the bombing in her office as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, a non-profit for the benefit of public education. Polly suffered extensive injuries and was carried down a stairway to be one of the first transported and treated at Saint Anthony Hospital. Serving as National Campaign Task Force Co-Chair, she was instrumental in the 168 Pennies Campaign, empowering students to contribute to the memorialization process. Polly is a current Memorial Trustee and served as Board Chair in 2002-2003.

Polly’s cousin Adele Higginbottom was killed in the bombing.
