Cherokee Ballard was born and raised in Oklahoma and worked for two local television stations delivering the news to living rooms across the Sooner state. She covered many stories during her time in television, including the Oklahoma City bombing and the trials of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. She also reported on the execution of McVeigh.
