Better Conversations: The Real Story of the Investigation

Wednesday 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

This month’s edition of our Better Conversations lunch series revisits the investigation and federal trials that led to guilty verdicts for the perpetrators of the Oklahoma City bombing. Jon Hersley, the primary case agent for the FBI, and Larry Tongate, the co-case agent will join us in conversation. In 2004, Hersley and Tongate came together with Bob Burke as co-authors of Simple Truths, the definitive chronicle of the Oklahoma City bombing investigation. This was the largest investigation in FBI history at the time – over one million man-hours were spent exhausting every piece of evidence and every lead – yet questions, inaccuracies, and conspiracy theories persist thirty years later. Let’s address these questions head-on with those who conducted the investigation as we reaffirm the senselessness of violence.

Register to reserve your seat and a complimentary boxed lunch, available at 11:30am when the doors open. The program will run from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. The authors will be available to sign copies of their book following the conversation. You can pick up your copy of Simple Truths at the Memorial store or online.
