Woodward County

The Journey of Hope visited Mooreland High School, where students took part in a day of learning and Better Conversations. Glenn Billings, who helped with rescue and recovery in 1995, read the Memorial’s Mission Statement, and Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University Abbey Elam helped lead discussions throughout the day. Students spoke about the importance of being open, listening before responding and respecting different perspectives. They also shared that the experience challenged them to be more thoughtful in their conversations and more intentional about how they show up for others.
