Letters and Messages

Letters and Messages

Left on paper, museum program guides and flags, letters and messages for those impacted by the bombing make the Fence a kind of guest book of well wishes, thoughts and prayers.

For loved ones of the victims, these notes offer a way to mourn, grieve and heal. Letters and messages, some of the oldest forms of writing, allow for those who write to take a pause from their daily life and process this tragedy in their own way. They provide a tangible connection from loved ones to victims or from visitors to community.
