Teddy bears hold a special place at the Memorial after each family impacted by the bombing received one at the statewide prayer service on April 23, 1995. From stuffed animals to oversized t-shirts, gifts of comfort offer a sense of safety and security to those impacted by violence. While comfort means to ease grief or trouble, it also means to give strength and hope. The following items left on the Fence are a testament to that indomitable will crafted by a community getting back on its feet.
