Bring your family to a one-of-a-kind STEM experience that highlights the role structural engineering plays in the story of the Oklahoma City bombing. Students will try to answer the question of how we can build structures better able to withstand disasters with the help of Benham, an architecture and engineering company. Beginning on the touchscreen tables in the Inasmuch Uncover-Discover STEM Lab, families will test building materials and structures against natural and manmade disasters before designing their own structure.
With purchase of a Family Ticket for this event, same-day museum admission is FREE. Give yourself time to tour the Museum before or after the event. The Family STEM Experience will begin at 1:00 pm in the Museum classroom. Snacks provided.
For students ages 8 to 14. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
